The Story Of The Silent Buddha

Once upon a time, there was a awfully have lived in Banaras in northern India when his father died, he inherited even more wealth. He thought, why should I advantage of this treasure for myself alone?

Let my fellow beings even have the nice thing about these riches. So he built dining halls at the four gates of town, north, east, south, and west. In these halls, he gave food freely to any or all or any who wished it.

He became famous for his generosity. It also became known that he and his followers were practitioners of the five training steps. In those days, there was a silent Buddha meditating within the forest near Banaras.

He was called Buddha because he was enlightened, this implies that he has not experienced himself, the one called I or me, as being in any way different from all life living itself.

So he was able to experience life because it really is in every here and now, being one with all life. He was full of compassion and sympathy for the unhappiness of all beings.

So he wished to point and help them to be enlightened, at the identical time as he was. But the time of our story was a most unfortunate time, an awfully sad time.

It absolutely was a time when nobody else was able to understand the actual fact and experienced life because it really is. And since this Buddha knew this, that was why he was silent.

While meditating within the forest, the silent Buddha entered into an awfully high condition.

His concentration was so great that he remained in one position for seven days and nights without eating or drinking. When he returned to the quality state, he was in peril of dying from starvation.

At the identical old time of day, he visited collect alms, food at the persuasion of the person of means of Banaras.

When the baron had just sat right all the way down to have lunch, he saw the silent Buddha coming together with his arms bowl. He rose from his seat respectfully.

He told his servants to travel and provides alms to him. Meanwhile, Mara, the god of death had been watching. Mara is that the one who is stuffed with greed for power over all beings.

He can only have this power because of the fear of death, since Buddha lives life fully in each moment.

He has no desire for future life and no fear of future death.

Therefore, since Marta could haven't got any power over the silent Buddha, he wished to destroy him. When he saw that he was near death from starvation, he knew that he had an honest chance of succeeding.

Before the servants could place the food then the sale and put his arms, bone marrow caused a deep pit of hotdog burning calls to look between them.

It gave the look of the doorway to a full world when he saw this, the servant was frightened to death. He ran back to his master.

The baron asked him why he returned without giving the arms food.

He replied, My Lord, there is a deep pit stuffed with hotdog burning colds just before the silent Buddha. the mogul thought this man must be seeing things. So he sent another servant with arms food.

He also was frightened by the identical pit of fear because several servants were sent, but all returned frightened to death. Then the master thought, there's little question that Mara, the God of death, must be trying to forestall my hold some deed of giving arms food to the silent Buddha.

Because wholesome deeds are the beginning of the trail to enlightenment, this mother wishes to forestall me within the slightest degree costs, but he doesn't understand my confidence within the silent Buddha and my determination to supplying.

So he himself took the arms forward to the silent Buddha. He, too, saw the flames rising from the firepit. Then he explored and saw the terrible God of death floating above within the sky.

He asked, Who are you?

Dad replied, I'm the god of death. Did you create this pit of fire?

Ask the person. I did set the God. Why did you're doing so?

To stay you from giving arms, food, and thru this thanks to causing the silent Buddha to die, also to forestall your wholesome deed from helping you on the trail to enlightenment. So you'll remain in my power.

The rich men are arrested, my God of death, the evil one, you'll be able to not kill the silent Buddha and you will be able to not prevent my wholesome giving. allow us to work out whose determination is stronger.

Then he looked across the raging pit of fireplace and said to the calm and mild, enlightened one. Both silent Buddha let the sunshine of truth still shine as an example to us, accept this gift of life.

So saying he forgot himself entirely. and thru this moment, there was no fear of death as he stepped into the burning pit, he felt himself being lifted up by an honest-looking, cool lotus blossom.

The pollen from this miraculous flower spread into the air and covered him with the glowing color of gold.

While standing within the middle of the lotus, the great being poured to the arms food into the bowl of the silent Buddha, Mara God of death was defeated. In appreciation for this glorious gift, the silent Buddha raised his hand in blessing.

They need bowled in Omeish, joining his hands above his head. Then the silent Buddha departed from Banaras and visited the Himalayan forests. Still standing on the wonderful lotus, glowing with the colour of gold, the generous master taught his followers.

He told them that practicing the five training steps is critical to purify the mind.

A Buddhist Tale About Honesty

Once upon a time during a little amount called cedi there are two salesmen of pots and pans and handmade trinkets they agreed to divide the town between them they also said that after one had gone through his area. It was okay for the selection to undertake and sell where the first had already tried his luck someday while one in every of them was coming down a street a poor girl saw him and asked her grandmother to buy for her a bracelet.

The old grandmother replied how can we poor people by bracelets the microscopic girl said since we don't have any money, we are visiting give our black old plate the old woman agreed to convey it a try so she invited the dealer inside the salesperson saw that these people were very poor and innocent so he didn't want to waste his time with them while the old woman pleaded with him.

He said he had no bracelet that she could afford to buy for then she asked we've an old plate that's useless to us can we trade it for a bracelet the person took it and while examining it happened to scratch the underside of it to his surprise he saw that underneath the black suit there was a golden plate but he didn't bring out that he had noticed.

It instead he decided to deceive these poor people so he could get the plate for next to zilch he said this might otherwise be often not worth even one bracelet there's not any value during this I don't want it he left thinking he would return later after they'll accept even less for the plate the selection salesman after finishing in his a component of town followed after the first as they'd agreed he ended up at the identical house again the poor daughter backed her grandmother to trade the old plate for a bracelet the girl saw that this was a satisfying tender looking merchant and thought.

He is an honest man not alittle amount almost rather almost rather barely the identical because the rough talking first salesman so she invited him in and offered to trade the identical black old plate for one bracelet when he examined it he too saw that it absolutely was pure gold under the grime and he said to the old woman all my goods and each one my money together aren't definitely well well worth the maximum amount as this rich golden plate in spite of everything the girl was shocked at this discovery but now she knew that he was indeed an honest and honest fellow so she said she would be glad to easily accept whatever he could trade for it.

The salesman said I'll provide you with all my pots and pans and trinkets plus all my money if you'll let me keep just eight coins in my balancing scale with its cover to position the golden plate in they made the trade he went right all the way right down to the river where he paid the eight coins to the ferryman to wish him across by then the greedy salesman had returned already adding up huge imaginary profits in his head when he met the limited girl and her grandmother again he said he had changed his mind and was willing to produce some cents but not one in every of his bracelets for the useless black old plate the old woman then calmly told him of the trade she had just made with the honest salesman and said sir you lied to us.

The greedy salesman wasn't ashamed of his lies but he was saddened as he thought I've lost the golden plate that possesses to be worth 100 thousand so he asked the girl which way did he go she told him the direction he left all his things right there at the door and expended to the river thinking he robbed me he robbed me he won't make a fool out of me from the riverside he saw the honest salesman still process on the ferry boat he shouted to the ferryman return but the great merchant told him to remain on visiting the selection side and that's what he did seeing that he could do nothing the greedy salesman exploded with rage.

He jumped up and down beating his chest he became so stuffed with hatred towards the honest man who had won the golden plate that he made himself cough up blood he had a cardiopathy and died on the spot you see in life in your life honesty still is that the foremost effective policy you'll think life is unfair there are folks that are cheaters and liars which they're successful and rich and mighty yes they'll be rich and successful but all their success and richness is made on a shallow castle made out of lies and cheating and it's too late for them to look back and return to the good.

They have to remain on going and lying and cheating until it digs their own grave for them honesty is that the foremost effective policy stay humble stay honest.

How Gautama Became a Buddha

There are many aspects to his life- the most important aspect is that he is a Bu Dha, that’s not his name, His name is Gautama Siddhartha but he is a Buddha.

Buddha means- he transcended his intellect. Bu means buddhi, Dha means dhadha, Buddhi means the intellect; dhadha means one who is above. One who is above his intellect is a Buddha.

One who is in his intellect is a non-stop suffering human being (Laughter), something happens they suffer, nothing happens they suffer, whichever way (Laughs), that is if you are below the mind we call them buddhu (Laughter). You’re missing the point.

If you are above the mind, you are a Buddha, if you are below the mind you are a buddhu, if you are in the mind, you are non-stop suffering (Few laugh), so how did he become this? He tried many things in his life.

He was a prince of a small princely state, because some yogi predicted that this will either become a great emperor or become a great sage, when he made this prediction, the father got little excited.

He did not want him to become a great sage; he wanted to become a great emperor, So he decided he will not expose him to… because he thought by being exposed to some suffering or misery, he may turn into a sage so he kept him in utter pleasure- the best of food, best of clothes, best of pleasures, everything.

When he was eight… nineteen years of age, he got him married to a very pretty young woman, Kept him in a palace secluded form the rest of the society where he lives in pleasure, never exposed to any kind of suffering.

One day he thought he will just take a drive through the town. He asked his charioteer to take him across, so he was going and then he saw a man who was old, who was going like this (Gestures), So he had never seen a old man in his life, his father had protected him from all this.

He said, ‘what happened to him?’ So the charioteer, Oh! He is just a old man’, ‘How does it happen’ he asked, He said, ‘everybody gets old someday’, He looked at himself, he was a nice youth. ‘What! Me also?’ Said, ‘yes, everybody! Everybody gets old.

They live long enough, they get old.’ He… this was a realization for him.

I will become like this (Gestures), then he saw a man lying on the street who was ill with something, not able to get up, in great suffering, He said, ‘stop! What is this guy? What’s he doing?’ He said, ‘Oh! He is sick unfortunately’, ‘What does that mean?’ He said, ‘a body, sometimes it gets sick. It can happen to anybody.

It can happen to just anybody.’ ‘Me? A Prince! It can happen to me?’ ‘It can happen to anybody, and then he saw, oh! I can become like this, then they were going further, he was completely disturbed by this, then he saw a funeral, they were carrying a dead body of a man. ‘What happened to that guy?’ ‘Oh, he just died that’s all’, ‘what does that mean?’ ‘That happens to everybody without exception.’ Then he said, ‘what am I doing? Just eating, pleasures, nonsense, what am I doing with myself? And he struggled; he went into turmoil within himself.

This suddenly being a prince and these pleasures and all this palace sudd… suddenly broke apart for him and he started looking, what is the point of all this, This (Referring to Oneself) is going to get old, this may get sick, for sure this will be dead.

What am I investing my entire life in this? But by then he had an infant boy, Tch, he looked at his wife and his child, this loving wife and this lovely little baby, he could not leave. He struggled and struggled and struggled. By then a little over one-and-a-quarter years passed, When the boy was one-and-a-half years of age, he could not hold it anymore In the middle of the night, like a thief, without telling anybody he slipped out of the palace and left for good, He went in search; I want to know the truth about this life. He went from school to school-these are times when different schools were established in India, At one point there were over 1800 schools, I’m saying not just institutions, 1800 different ways of doing things, 1800 different varieties of yoga.

Not the kind that you are seeing in California, somebody doing like this (Gestures), somebody doing like this (Gestures), really intricate expressions.

It is like how the Medical Science is becoming today. Twenty-five years ago, you wanted a medical check-up; all you needed was your family doctor. Today (Laughs) for every part of your body, there is a doctor.

I was few years ago I had a, you know, I had a knee injury I was playing soccer and I broke something in the knee And I was all packed up and I was speaking, that’s how I got into golf because of this knee injury (Laughs), (Few laugh) Somebody told me… gifted me a golf kit and said, ‘guru you’re too old for any other game (Few laugh), you just play golf’, So I was sitting there in Atlanta and talking, speaking at a place. Then I was in pain, I couldn’t even move. So, after the… when this is over…

I mean once I accustomed be speaking, one person raised his hand; I believed he wants a matter, on the choice hand he said, ‘Guru I'd value more highly to look at your knee after this might be often over. I’m a knee doctor’.

I said, ‘come on, you're an orthopaedic.’ Said, ‘no, no, I’m a knee doctor.’ Then I said, ‘right or left (laughter)?

Which one are you?’ So specialization, specialization goes, a time will come probably in fifty years’ time, if you'd quite medical check-up, you would like 100 doctors to check you.

By the time you get these 100 appointments (Gestures) (Laughter), maybe you'd like an undertaker, and then it’ll become ridiculous. Okay you visited three doctors, alright. You visited five doctors, alright.

If it becomes fifty-hundred doctors for a medical check-up, it’s become ridiculous, isn't it? This happened to yogic system- people started specializing and specializing in an exceedingly similar way of small things.

Each specialization encompasses a unit by itself, someone just came and told me, there are dentist… okay, and I’m not speaking in any this thing, as example dentistry, just thirty-two teeth, alright? They study for nine years.

Thirty-two teeth, nine years of study still they don’t know everything about it. That’s the character of creation.

If you start studying one tooth at a time, you may see each of them has something specific about it, You… somebody can spend a lifetime of study just learning about one tooth, just see if you had thirty-two dentist to appear into your mouth (Few laugh), disaster you're, isn't it (Laughs)?, So as specialization, specialization happens, when it crosses a selected point, it’ll become ridiculous.

This happened to yoga. It crossed that point where 1800 schools, different specializations of yoga happened, So that is when Patanjali came and kind of assimilated everything into Yoga Sutras to minimize this expanse that was growing endlessly, So when Gautama came, it had been post-Patanjali but still there are many things, So he went from school to high school. He pursued eight differing kinds of Samadhi.

We are talking about Samadhi, okay (Laughs)?,He pursued eight differing kinds of Samadhi. He saw all of them were wonderful experiences but still it didn't liberate him. So during this condition he was walking as a Samana.

There is a particular system of practice called as Samanas, Their fundamental practice is this- they'll never evoke food. You’d opt to not be available pursuit of food because they have to beat the essential instinct of survival.

No matter what you're always getting in pursuit of food, please understand this, You may complicate it in numerous ways but fundamentally… you’re talking most about economy means you’re just wondering survival all the time, isn't it? Survival glorified, but still its survival, So one fundamental sadhana for them is, you never pursue your instinct of survival, you only keep going. So Samanas accustomed just walk, never requesting food, But the culture was sensitive, if they saw a spiritual person walking, people will cook reception and run behind him and serve him wherever he's because they know he won't elicit food.

Today if you become a Samana, you'll walk yourself to death (Laughter), those days’ people were sensitive to his sadhana and responded so there are thousands of Samanas walking the country, So Gautama became a Samana and whether or not you are not requesting food, you'll walk near a town Tch, so as that food will come. But Gautama took it too seriously and just walked!

He became all bones, just bones and a bag of skin, like that he became.

Then he came to a component where there was a river called Niranjana, unfortunately that river is gone now, no more river, nearly eighteen-to-twenty inches of water, maybe moving little rapidly, He stepped into it, halfway down into the river he failed to have the energy to cross.

There was a limb, a dead branch, he just held onto it, He doesn’t have the strength to wish the following step but he is not the kind of man to dropping, He held on, we don’t know for the way long, people say for a awfully very while. Maybe it absolutely was two minutes, when you are feeling so weak, those two minutes might need gave the planning of some years.

Then as he persisted, he just realized what's it that I'm striving for?, What is it I’m wandering the full country, going from school to high school, learning this, learning that, what is it that I’m looking for? Then he realized, there’s really nothing, this life is on.

All I've should attempt to to is solely remove the barriers which don't seem to be allowing me to experience this, When he realized that everything is within him, there's not any because of search, suddenly he had the energy to wish the next step and also the following step. He crossed the river, came and sat down thereunder now very famous Bodhi tree, which has become more famous than Buddha himself (Laughs).

A part of the tree, a remnant or a… a progeny of the tree still exists in Bodhgaya and he sat under the tree, it absolutely was this full-of-the-moon night which is coming now on 10th of May.

He sat there and he sat there with this determination- either I'd value more highly to work out the last word nature of my existence now or I'll sit here and die, I'll not open my eyes till I do know this.

Once he made that resolve, because the only real problem is there's not any resolve, every two minutes your intentions are changing, if you're totally on, to know what's within you, how long should it take? Hmm? It should happen during a flash, isn't it? Because there's not any distance to travel.

Time could be a quantity which is important only there's a distance to travel, isn't it?, If there's no distance to travel, if I ask you the way long does it hold you to sit down here?

You’re already siting, it’s already there. It doesn’t take any time, so you're already alive and on, it doesn’t take any time for realization because you don’t should do anything particular.

When he saw this, he was fully enlightened and therefore the moon was shining and he had not eaten for several months on end properly, years actually, four years he was a Samana and other people around him, he had gathered about five disciples I feel, these guys thought he’s real because he doesn’t eat, he’s really rigid and that they saw, he’s in some state, exuberant state and that they could see the sunshine on his face.

Then they were awaiting him to open his eyes and provide the teaching, He opened his eyes, checked out them, smiled and said, ‘cook something, let’s eat!’ (Laughter), they were totally disappointed, they thought he’s lost it.

They walked with him for four to eight years when he had nothing but torture, when he got enlightened, they left him (Few laugh) because they wanted to listen to something severe, He said, ‘cook something, let’s eat.’ We’ve been wasting our time (Few laugh).

There are many beautiful episodes in his life when he at some point walked upon the riverbank after he has become a Buddha and went and sat down under a tree, Tree not because tree is that the best place to sit down under, you recognize ants can get you.

Because that was the sole real estate of those times, there were no buildings and buildings and buildings everywhere, so tree was an honest place, a nice place to take a seat under instead of sitting in harsh sun, you sit under a tree.

An astrologer, who is of great proficiency in his trade saw the footprint on the riverbank, he had come to… In India people of any this thing means, bath means always river, Those rivers are departure, I will be able to tell you later, Bath means always river so, he came for a shower to the river then he saw the footprint there's a full science or rather observations through which by gazing the way one’s feet is somebody predicts exactly what he will do, So he saw the footprint and so he saw that this is often the footprint of an emperor, somebody who should rule the planet.

Then he wondered, why would such an individual be during this remote place near a jungle, Then he followed the footprint thinking he will meet an emperor, Then he saw this monk- Gautama sitting under a tree, Then he checked out this, this… he thought either my astrology is gone all wrong or I’m being fooled or I’m in some reasonably a hallucination, what’s happening here? Then he visited Gautama and asked, ‘who are you?’ Gautama was tch, during this quite, Jasjeet (Referring to a Participant) quite state (Few laugh), he said, ‘I’m nobody. I’m just a nobody.’ But you have got the feet of an emperor! You should conquer the globe. Gautama said, ‘that I will be able to but not by conquest’.

See, there are two ways you'll be able to have the globe, either by conquest or by inclusion. Yes? I can cause you to yours, either by capturing you; chaining you and making you are doing what I need or by including you as a component of myself, yes? Both ways something or somebody becomes yours, isn't it? But if you elapse conquest, it'll be a pain in your neck always.

If you include, this can become a good enhancement of life. He said, ‘I am the emperor of the globe.’

Then he said, ‘you are a monk! You own nothing’, I own nothing and that i am a nobody that's why everything is mine, Even mathematicians try to show you the zero and therefore the infinite are one and also the same, hmm? So you becoming a no-thing don’t mean you're no use.

You are a no-thing means you’ve become all inclusive, isn't it? You’re something means you'll only be that, you are a no-thing; you'll be any way you would like. This can be how this life is formed, if your ability to reply is not curtailed, you'll be able to be anything you would like at any given moment, isn't it? So Gautama said, ‘I’m anyway the emperor of the globe if that’s a word you wish but I’m actually a nobody because everything is anyway mine’.

If you see I’m to blame for everything, everything is yours, isn't it? How does somebody become yours? Hmm? Because you own them or take responsibility for them? Because you are taking responsibility for them, they become yours not otherwise, isn't it?

If you own them forcefully, they'll never be yours. Yes or no? Participants: Yes.

If you forcefully own somebody, will they ever be yours? They’ll never ever be yours. So this astrologer sat down, He said, ‘you are a monk, you've got nothing, on top of it you say you're Jasjeet (Referring to a Participant), I’m sorry (Few laugh), on top of it you say I'm a nobody and everything is yours’ what's this? Gautama said, ‘you come. I’ve got some way for you.

You are busy making predictions of life. I’ve got an idea.’ Why does one make predictions of life? You’re incapable of constructing an inspiration and executing an idea, that's why you fall back on a… prediction, isn't it? Yes or no? If you're capable of creating an idea and executing a concept, would you fall back on predictions? Participants: No! Guru: No, so, Gautama said, ‘you are busy making predictions. I am here, I’ve got an inspiration.

Come… become an element of my plan. We’ll make something else happen; you must become a component of this plan. We will make something wonderful happen, this same world, this same world is paradise if all of sus… all people go by a paradise plan, isn't it? Yes or no? Participants: Yes. The question is simply, do that… because between a chance and a reality there's a distance Are… can we have the courage and therefore the commitment to steer the distance? That’s all its. Yes? Participants: Yes.

The Way Of The Buddha - A Timeless Story

A long while ago there was a high-class have as he became older he realized that the suffering of maturity was about the identical for rich and poor alike so he gave up his wealth in school position and went into the forest to measure as a poor monk he practiced meditation and developed his mind.

He freed himself from unwholesome thoughts and have become contented and happy his peacefulness and friendliness gradually drew 500 followers to his side at that point way back most monks usually looked pretty serious but there was one monk who while he was quite dignified always were a minimum of a touch smile on his face regardless of what happened.

He never lost this glimmer of inner happiness and on happy occasions he had the broadest smile and therefore the warmest laughter of all sometimes monks also as others would ask him why he was so happy that he always wore a smile he chuckled and said if I told you would not believe me and if you thought I spoke a lie it'd be a dishonour to my master the wise painter knew the source of the happiness that might not be wiped from his face then he made.

This happiest Munk his number-one assistant one year after the time of year the old monk in his five hundred followers visited town the King permitted them to measure in his pleasure garden for the springtime this king was an honest man who took his responsibilities as a ruler seriously he tried to safeguard, the people from danger and increase their prosperity in welfare he always had to stress about neighbouring kings a number of whom were unfriendly and threatening, he often had to create peace between his own rival ministers of state sometimes his wives fought for his attention and for the advancement of their sons occasionally a dissatisfied subject even threatened the lifetime of the king himself and in fact he had to fret constantly about the finances of the dominion of course he had such a lot to fret this.

He never had time to be happy as summer approached he learned that the monks were preparing to return to the forest considering the health and also the welfare of the old leader the king visited him and said your reverence you're now very old and weak what good does it do to travel back to the forest you'll send your followers back but you remain here the chief monk thought of it so called his number-one assistant to him and said you're now to be the leader of the opposite monks while you all board the forest as I'm too old and weak I will be able to remain here as offered by the king therefore the 500 returned to the forest and also the old one remained.

The number-one assistant continued practicing meditation within the forest he gained such a lot wisdom and peace that he became even happier than before he missed his master and wanted to share his happiness with him then he returned to town for a visit when he arrived he sat on a rug at the feet of the old monk they didn't speak abundantly but every so often the amount one assistant would say what happiness Oh what happiness then the King came to go to he paid his respects to the chief monk however the one from the forest.

Just kept saying what happiness oh what happiness he didn't even stop to greet the king and show proper respect and this disturbed the King and he thought with all my worries as busy as I am taking care of the dominion I take our time for a visit and this monk doesn't respect me enough to even recognize me how insulting he said to the senior of the 2 monks venerable sir this monk must be stupid from overeating that has got to be why he's so stuffed with happiness does he stagnate here so lazy all the time the top monk replied o King have patience and that I will tell you.

The source of his happiness not many folks realize it he was once a king even as rich and mighty as you then he was ordained a monk and gave up his kingly life now he thinks his old happiness was nothing compared to his present joy he accustomed be surrounded by armed men who guarded and guarded him now sitting alone within the forest with nothing to fear he has no need for armed guards he has given up the burden of worrying about wealth that needs to be protected instead freed from the concern of health and also the fear of power his wisdom protects himself et al.

He advances in meditation to such inner peace that he cannot keep from saying what happiness Oh what happiness the king understood without delay hearing the story of the happy monk made him feel at peace he stayed for a long time and received advice from both of them then he honored them and returned to the palace later the happy monk who once had been a king paid his respects to his master and returned to the beautiful forest the old chief monk scoop the reminder of his life died and was reborn during a high heaven world you see in life if we stay unattached to wealth and power our happiness increases if we explore for happiness within the outer world in everything that won't within us already.

We will never retain it we will never find happiness because happiness is the way the way is within us and no material possessions can ever guide us to happiness as much as our inner happy self and our inner being those who hide behind wealth and power will never find happiness but if you are a master of your own fate a master of happiness you will find it even in the smallest of things in this world this is there to do motivation stories thanks.

The Honest Man And The Pot Of Gold

Once upon a time a poor family and therefore the rich family lived at the foot of a mountain there was an oversized forest at the highest of the mountain a day.

The head of the poor family visited the forest to induce wood to sell for food and clothing within the forest there was a rock lion usually the have-not would put some barley meal and butter within the lion's mouth and say please eat this brother lion the times passed someday because the poor person was feeding the rock lion.

The lion said many thanks friend you're an honest man the pauper was frightened and said brother lion you do not have a master to feed you so I gave you some food I do not have any good food because I'm poor you're an honest man tomorrow morning before sunrise come here and that I will provide you with something said the lion the person took his firewood and returned home next morning he visited the lion listen said the lion there's much gold in my stomach.

You may take some but when the sun rises you want to take your distribute of my stomach because at that point my mouth will close yes I understand said the person he put his hand within the lion's stomach and shortly he had filled the little bag with gold this can be enough on behalf of me he said thank to the road and went home the pauper was now rich his rich neighbor was jealous and asked how did you become so rich the honest man told him about the rock lion the rich person placed on old clothes visited the forest and every day did because the poor person had done he fed the lion barley with meal and butter and fetched firewood.

One day the lion repeated what he had told the poor person the wealthy person was very happy and came the subsequent day with an enormous bag he took much gold from the lion's stomach the sun rose but the greedy man still didn't have enough and clump the lion's mouth clamped shut on his arm and failed to open again you see in life in your life.

No matter how rich you're how rich you become if you're greedy you'll never have enough so you'll always be poor but if you're poor but generous and a decent person you will always be rich.

Thanks for reading motivation stories.

Time When Buddha Sent Ananda To A Prostitute

The monks under Buddha had a rule they'd only occupy one's home for a maximum of three days this rule was lapsed Buddha himself so on avoid trouble for those who served them when Buddha and his disciples travel across lands they accustomed stay in poor households and villages for three days and it didn't bother anyone from giving them part to wish rest all monks and Buddha himself find a home among many in these villages and at the tip of the third day they rejoin at the village square and still the trail of seeking so one fine day they reached another.

One of these villages as Buddha and his disciples were sorting for homes to remain one altogether Buddhas disciples Ananda got invited by a prostitute to remain at her home she was a young and pleasant woman and under told her that he was willing to remain but he would must ask Buddha first the prostitute responded really you'd like permission from your teacher no Ananda said.

I am sure my teacher Buddha won't tell me to position you down but it's a norm to ask fine said the prostitute so on under visited Buddha and told him Buddha a girl wants me to wish shelter at her home during our three days rest but the girl could even be a prostitute Buddha leaned back and said.

If she is inviting you with such plenty affection you'd value more highly to not reject her invitation go and stay in her home this didn't go well with Buddha's other disciples who started questioning why sent him to a prostitute this might otherwise be often often against a monk's code of conduct Buddha answered well I assume we'll find the actual fact in three days and the disciples went silent an under whence to the prostitutes home and stayed there for 3 days.

The rest of the monks started spying on them than were reporting everything back to Buddha remained silent and didn't mind to reply on the primary day they hear music a nun learned the girl singing and a pair of the monks say this might otherwise be it he's gone on the second day they hear them dancing within the house and now everyone echoes this might well be often often it he's gone on the third day they were literally singing and dancing and at now the monks realized that they'd not see Ananda anymore for the remainder of their journey so after three days every monk has gathered together as they're set to maneuver to their next destination they were all eagerly awaiting Ananda reasonably them agreed that he wouldn't be coming but what surprised everyone wasn't that he came back but that there was now a replacement member to their gathering a female monk everyone scratched their heads except Buddha himself who said.

If you recognize what you're doing is correct nothing can corrupt you instead you modify the corrupted Buddha himself welcomed the new monk to the gathering which they proceeded with the trail to hunt together you see in life nothing can corrupt your mind if your willpower is powerful enough in our society nowadays we are growing increasingly suspicious of every other but we are all here to avoid wasting one another to assist one another don't judge a book by it's cover all people deep inside is that the identical deserves the identical chances a no chitchat chattering about what's new within the villager in your town stay calm stay modest and always believe.

Time When Buddha Explained Death

One day a girl lost her young son just some days before her husband had died kisaku tommy was her name and now her only son had died she wasn't great to despair naturally the kid was her only hope Buddha was staying within the town people said don't cry and do not weep why don't you are taking the kid to the Buddha.

He's so compassionate he may revive him back to life the lady rushed with the body of the kid Buddha checked out the girl and told her to place the kid in front of him and said to her yes I will be able to revive him but you may need to fulfil one condition the girl said I'm able to give even my life say any condition and that I will fulfill it Buddha said it's a straightforward condition.

I never make big requirements of individuals only small requirements this is often an awfully simple thing just visiting town and convey some mustard seeds just remember one thing the mustard seeds should come from a house where nobody has ever died the girl was in an insane state she couldn't see the purpose how are you able to find a house where nobody has ever died she rushed with great hope and he or she knew that each house had mustard seeds because that was the sole crop that folks were growing the entire village was growing.

It so there was no problem she knocked on many doors and therefore the people said some mustard seeds we will bring cart many mustard seeds but we cannot fulfil the condition many folks have died in our house so our mustard seeds won't do when night dawned the lady came to her senses she had knocked on every door within the village and slowly she saw that death is inevitable it happens to everybody that nobody can get away it when she came back to Buddha she was a completely different woman her child was lying there and Buddha was waiting he said where are the mustard seeds the woman laughed fell down at his feet and said initiate me into your path because I've got understood your message that everyone has got to die today my son has died some days before my husband died and some days afterwards.

I am visiting die before I die I would like to work out the deathless now I'm NOT curious about my child being raised from the dead I'm interested myself in seeing the eternal life Buddha said that was the aim of sending you so you'll be able to be awakened and he initiated kissa kutami you see in life or maybe there's no life without death and there cannot be death without life we all have our own clocks ticking and it's going to seem unfair why some people die before others but it's just the circle of life if there's no light there is no darkness if there's no bad there will be any good and if there's no death there cannot be life understanding this could seem beyond us for we are attached emotionally to all or any the those that we love and rightly so life could be a beautiful journey so enjoy every second and minute along with the those that you're keen on.

The Story Of The Blind Prince

One day after Buddha passed on to the great beyond there was a king named a seeker he was very kind and his government was very compassionate he had a son with eyes as beautiful because the canalla an Indian bird famous for its beautiful eyes because the King liked this type of bird he named his son kun Allah when.

Prince canola grew up he was very handsome his conduct was proper and he was very kind King música was a faithful Buddhist sooner or later the King brought his son to a temple and he asked a monk named Yasha about the Buddhist teachings the ASSA checked out the young prince and said human life is impermanent a body goes through the stages of birth aging illness and death and human life is stuffed with impurity who can have the sweetness of youth forever of these ar illusions within the same way although the princes eyes seem beautiful they're actually filled with filth and also the source of trouble the prince was quite puzzled everyone always praised him for his beautiful eyes but why would the monk say that they were dirty and also the source of trouble these words kept rolling around in his head there have been many concubines within the king's palace one fille was deeply attracted by kun Allah's attractiveness when she saw him sitting alone within the garden.

One day she began to fondle him trying to seduce him but the prince was a righteous person and will not conform to such behavior he pulled himself together and freed himself from her unwanted attentions later when the young prince was the right age to marry King Waseca found a wife for him when the concubine saw the lover of her dreams married to somebody else she became intensely jealous and her love turned to hatred shortly after the wedding the king became sick and therefore the young concubine sorted him carefully until he recovered he was grateful for her care and said to her because you took care of me for such an extended time I will be able to offer you anything you desire and he or she said I just want to rule the country for seven days.

The King thought to himself that since he had promised he couldn't return on his word besides it had been just for seven days so he agreed when she was on the throne the adult female wrote a letter crammed with both love and hate and sent it to Prince Kamal she wrote that her fury would only be distilled if she never saw his eyes again now the Prince finally realized what that monk had meant but it absolutely was too late the lady's word was just like the king's command and it couldn't be disobeyed canalla reluctantly gorged out one eye and held.

It in his hand it's so disgusting he suddenly realized why would such a dirty little thing be praised by such a big amount of people and produce such a lot trouble since she wants both eyes I'll eliminate

the other one too and when both eyes were gone everything before him was in darkness but his mind was suddenly stuffed with light he felt the peace that comes from spiritual enlightenment when his wife heard the news she ran to the blind Prince and commenced to cry and cry but the prince was calm and consoled her with the Buddhist teachings human life is impermanent so don't harbour hatred or War II because hatred and worry are your greatest enemies at that point a bodyguard warned the prince your highness if you stay within the palace I'm afraid that your life will be in peril the prince in fact was already tuned in to this and since he didn't want the court lady to continue making bad karma for herself by doing something even worse he and his wife fled the palace they learned to play the lute and to sing and that they wandered from town to town making music within the streets people would throw them some coins and during this way the prince and his wife were able to feed themselves some years later they happened to come back back to the capital and sooner or later while they wer wandering into the streets alongside.

The Palace and began to sing King Waseca heard the gorgeous but mournful songs he thought of his son who had suddenly disappeared years before he told his attendants to ask the musicians to enter the palace when the King saw the lute player he realized that it absolutely was indeed the son that he had been thinking of day and night when he saw how Prince canalla had fallen from his royal life and was now only a blind lute player singing on the streets for a living the king was very distressed he asked the prince who did this to you who made you lose your sight but canalla refused to speak about it he just told his father about the truths that he had learned hoping his father would cool down ultimately the ministers and therefore the guards couldn't endure it anymore and reported the truth to the king he was furious and wanted to execute that concubine but the prince begged his father to forgive her.

The King was touched by Prince Canales compassion and released the young concubine however in her own conscience she was ashamed of herself and eventually committed suicide due to her impure love she had created trouble and hatred hurt people and destroyed herself was it all worthwhile you see in life the reality isn't only in attractiveness but it's during a pure heart and pure mind emotions good ones like bad ones may be impure or there is hold and real love should never be destroying love and jealousy should never be together real true and every one forgiving love is that the truth love that breaks destroys and hurts people isn't am fond of it are some things else sometimes everything in life are often an illusion only time will last relentlessly so don't waste some time by hurting others or thinking thoughts or doing deeds that aren't any good to anyone use it slow here wisely and be an honest person.

Time When Buddha Could Not Forgive

one day Buddha was in an assembly when a private walked in looking furious he thought Buddha was doing something wrong he was drawing a vast crowd and other people would just move to him and meditate he was a restless businessman and he had found that his children were spending their time with Buddha after they may have engaged themselves in business making more money and ensuring their livelihood.

He fell thereto spending four hours of their day seated next to someone whose eyes were always closed was a full waste of a while that the daddy of the family was very upset and he said I'm going to teach this man a lesson with anger in his heart he walked confidently up to Buddha as soon as he approached Ode all of his thoughts disappeared but the anger in him didn't dissipate.

He was shaking and he found himself speechless since he was unable to precise his emotions in words he's simply spat on Buddha’s face Buddha reciprocally simply smiled his disciples who were sitting with him were furious they wanted to react and were able to jump but the Buddha's presence didn't allow them to undertake and liquidate order that they only couldn't believe someone could behave in such a reprehensible manner with mystic but they couldn't say anything and this man couldn't stay longer either he noticed his action had not drawn any reaction from the people around him and also Gautama had simply smiled reciprocally some minutes later he thought if I stay longer I'll burst which is able to explode so he walked away.

Once he returned home he couldn't erase the image of the smiling Buddha from his mind for the primary time in his life he had met someone who had such a unprecedented reaction to such a disrespectful act he couldn't sleep all night and his whole body underwent a change he was shivering shaking, he felt like his world had collapsed therefore the following day he got up and went and fell at Buddha’s feet and said please forgive me I failed to know what I accustomed be doing to which Buddha replied I cannot excuse you everyone including. Buddha's disciples who are shocked at this reaction all his life Buddha had been so compassionate he had accepted everyone in his ashram regardless of their past and now he was telling this businessman that he couldn't excuse his behaviour Buddha looked around and located everyone to be in an exceedingly state of shock so he explained why should I excuse you when you have not done anything what wrong have you ever ever done that I should excuse your behaviour the business man replied yesterday I came to the current assembly and in my anger I spat on your face.

I'm the same person it's me Buddha said that person isn't here anymore, if I ever meet the person on whom you spent I'll tell them to justify you on behalf of me too the person who's right here in this moment you're wonderful you've done nothing wrong you see in life when will we truly forgive a personal true forgiveness is once you forgive a private which someone doesn't even know that he is being forgiven that person shouldn't feel guilty for his deed this could be the proper reasonably forgiveness if you forgive someone and keep reminding them about their mistake and make them feel guilty all the time.

Then in fact you've simply not forgiven them yet guilt itself should be enough punishment for a private this is often there to try and do to motivation stories thanks.
